Bible Verses Regarding Money Every Christian Should Know

Ecclesiastes 5:10,19 “If you love money, you will never be satisfied and if you long to be rich, you will never get what you wanted. It is useless. If God gives a man wealth and property and lets him enjoy them, he should be grateful and enjoy what he has worked for. It’s a gift from God” Your life here on earth is very short therefore, you should eat, drink and enjoy what you have worked for. Deuteronomy 15:10 “Give to him freely and unselfishly, and the Lord will bless you in everything you do” Proverbs 11:4,28 “Riches will do you no good on the day you face death, but honesty can save you life” You should never allow wealth to mislead you in order to have eternal life.

Luke 16:19-25 “There was once a rich man who dressed in the most expensive clothes and lived in great luxury every day. There was also a man named Lazarus, who used to be brought near the man’s gate hoping to eat the bits of food that fell from the rich man’s table. The poor man died and was carried by the angles to sit beside Abraham at the feast in heaven. When the rich man died, he was taken to hell where he was in great pain. He looked up and saw Abraham and Lazarus at his side. He called Abraham and asked him to have pity on him and send Lazarus to deep his finger in some water to cool his tongue and relief his pain. Abraham said,’Remember my son, that in your lifetime you were given all the good things while Lazarus got all the bad things. But now he is enjoying here while you are in great pain.”

According to the bible, generosity is the only path to receive more blessings. Proverbs 11:24-25 “Some people spend their money freely and still grow richer. Others are cautious, and yet grow poorer. Be generous and you will be prosperous. Help others and you will be helped” Everything we have and give comes from the Lord. He is the creator of everything in this world. With this in our minds, let’s be generous to the less fortunate. If you are a pastor, preach the gospel to all nations.

Deuteronomy 28:12-13 “God will send rain in season from His rich storehouse in the sky and bless all your work, so that you will lend to many nations, but you will not have to borrow from any. The Lord your God will make you a leader among nations and not a follower. You will always prosper and never fail if you obey faithfully all His commands that I am giving you today” The Lord blesses those who obey His commands and curses all those who disobey them.
